Kentucky lawmakers pass bills appropriating $1 billion of American Rescue Plan funds

House Bill 382 appropriates $575 million of ARPA funds to pay back the state's federal unemployment loan that was taken out as a result of the pandemic.

The bill also appropriates $50 million for expanding broadband access across the commonwealth. The legislature had already approved $250 million in ARPA funds for broadband in House Bill 320 that was passed on Monday.
